Top Abstracts Scholarship
BSH's top abstract scholarship supports members' attendance at our (ASM) in April 2026.
Abstract submission is now . If you wish to be considered for an abstract scholarship please tick the box when submitting your abstract. Deadline for submissions 6 January 2026.

Help to write your Abstract document
Our ASM Abstract Scholarships support the best of haematology science and research. Funding is offered to BSH members who are eligible presenters of the highest-scoring abstracts to facilitate their attendance at the conference.
Eligible presenters include BSH members who are:
- undergraduate and postgraduate students,
- early-career professionals in training,
- low to middle-income country (LMIC) residents
- NHS professionals on Band 8a and below.
If you're not yet a member, associate membership is free – apply now to ensure your eligibility.
- UK-based applicants (NHS or UK university): membership normally processed within 3 working days
- International applicants: please allow up to 6 weeks
What’s covered?
Successful applicants will receive funding of up to £1000 to help cover:
- Registration fees
- Economy Travel
- Accommodation up to £120 a night
When will you heard back from us?
If your abstract is selected for a top abstract scholarship, we’ll contact you shortly after abstract approvals are set out. We expect to let you know during the week starting 16th February 2026.

Funding for Non-Members
At present, BSH is not offering funding for attendance at the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) to non-members. Should this situation change, we will update this page accordingly.

HaemSTAR – ISTH London 2022 Legacy Fund
HaemSTAR has been awarded the ISTH London 2022 Legacy Fund, which includes support for:
- Trainees
- Allied healthcare professionals
Funding can be used for:
- Educational events
- Meetings and conferences
- Other professional development opportunities that enhance knowledge, skills, and connections
